Peter is the youngest of six and lives with his parents in Lafayette, Louisiana, USA. He has been making art from a very early age and was accepted into the Talent Art Program within the Lafayette Public School System at nine years old. Now 16, he continues to develop a unique, expressive line quality in his work that is masterful and whimsical. He is inspired by the endless curiosity of the world around him.

When he translates this inspiration into a piece, it shines with his “lively” energy. Many comment they somehow feel elevated when viewing his creations. Peter reminds us all that through love and support our gifts will shine. He continues to teach and remind us of what really matters in life – being present, loving unconditionally, and remembering that by practicing patience we can make a difference in all of our lives.

This year he was given large pieces of synthetic paper, his favorite pens, and freedom to explore the material. The results are layered abstract drawings incorporating words, names, symbols, and personal mark making techniques. When creating representational images, Peter’s approach to drawing reveals a consistent style, and his gift for expressive composition, movement and color continues.
